A week last Saturday I had the pleasure of docmenting the wedding of Andy and Rose at The Speech House, Coleford. This beautful bulding was originally built as a Hunting Lodge for King Charles II in 1669! It nestles within the lovely Forest of Dean. Assisting me at the wedding was my daughter and talented photographer Sabina.
We met up with Andy on arrival who advised us which room Rose was staying in at the venue. We found her getting ready along with her two closest friends. Julie was to be Rose’s Matron of Honour and Karen was giving the reading. Guests were busy arriving downstairs for the 2pm ceremony. These included Rob – Andy’s son who was to be his best man and Rose’s three adult children and grand-children.
It was a lovely ceremony and proved wihout a shadow of a doubt that love can be found at any age! Once the legalities were over, everyone mingled in the grounds of The Speech House for photos. After group shots, Sabina took the happy newlyweds across the road for their ‘couples’ photos. Andy and Rose and their guests enjoyed a wonderful meal and we finally left the revellers after the speeches to enjoy the rest of their evening together.
I know Andy and Rose are now honeymooning in Sri Lanka, so wish them a wonderful holiday and every happiness for their future life together. I’m sure you’ll agree with me that they both looked fabulous in their photos below:
