On Saturday, I met up with Bethan and Phil at The Holiday Inn, Newport. This lovely couple were already ‘man and wife’ as married in Cyprus on 13th June. This was to be their UK wedding reception for friends and family that were unable to share their Cyprus wedding. Both were getting ready in full wedding attire at The Holiday Inn so that’s where I headed. I found Bethan and Phil with Bethan’s mum Sian being attended to by the lovely Charlotte Perrott of Beautystyle, Newport, This clever lady was doing both hair and make-up! It seemed a little unusual to have the bride’s other half in the room watching inquisitively as she was pampered by Charlotte! Phil soon disappeared to shower and get ready himself. I made myself scarce to do some details shots and inspect the layout of the room where their evening wedding party was being held.
Bethan was very happy to be able to wear her bautiful wedding gown again. This was purchased from “Do You Believe” in Newport. It was a beautifully designed dress and Bethan looked fabulous. We headed out into the grounds of the Holiday Inn to take some photos in the early evening sunshine. It was lovely to see Phil, Bethan’s dad and his best man all dressed in their beige trousers with matching waistcoats. They looked very fetching and perfect for this hot, summery weather! Phil’s neices Tegan and Mya looked gorgeous in their turquoise bridesmaids dresses. Bethan’s close friend Cath looked equally stunning as Matron of Honour in her contrasting dusky pink gown.
The evening guests soon started to arrive and before we knew it, the party was in full swing! Phil is one of five siblings and I was delighted to discover one of his brothers has four gorgeous children including triplets! I’d never photographed triplets before so was in my elements following the little ones around! It’s not uncommon these days for children not to be invited to wedding parties. This is understandably due to the additional expense involved. It was therefore lovely to see so many happy children (lots of cousins!) enjoying themselves and being very much included.
I wish Bethan and Phil every happiness as they settle down to married life. Please find below a small selection of images from their UK wedding reception last weekend:
