Last Saturday morning I travelled to Aberdare to meet bride-to-be Jess. She was getting ready for her Big Day at her mum and dad’s. Also with them were her bridesmaids: sister Ruth, friend Emma, daughter Olivia and little flower girl Maicie. The girls looked fabulous in their beautiful baby pink bridesmaid dresses. It was a glorious June day so we couldn’t have asked for nicer weather. The white baby Bentley and stretch Limo were already waiting at the house to take them to the Ty Newydd Country Hotel. We started off with a few photos at home and in the garden before heading off for the ceremony at 2pm.
I finally got to meet nervous groom-to-be Jason. Along with his dad, best man and ushers, they all looked very fetching in their blue suits. By this time it was roasting hot so everyone was glad to go indoors out of the blazing sunshine. It ws a lovely ceremony conducted by the registrars from Pontypridd registry office. After the ceremony, everyone spilled out into the sunshine again for drinks and photos. However, it was so bright and hot, poor Jess was melting in her beautiful wedding gown so did her best to stay in the shade or indoors. The staff worked very hard in such warm conditions and provided the guests with a lovely three-course meal.
It was actually more pleasant to take photos a little later in the day after the wedding breakfast. I enjoyed taking Jess & Jason off on their own for some ‘couples’ shots in the grounds of the Ty Newydd. Many were staying at the hotel so were going to freshen up before the evening guests arrived.
I hope you’ll enjoy seeing a small selection of the images from Jess and Jason’s wedding day last weekend. I wish them both every happiness for their future life together as husband & wife!
